Default Ode to Helmets

A lot of us give 'mad props' to our bikes...and well we should.
But I figured it would be nice if we started a thread about our current and (hopefully) favorite helmets.
Maybe even a few pics thrown in to make it more interesting (you don't have to send a pic of your actual helmet if you don't have it...I'm sure you can find it online if you look).
Currently, I have 4 helmets, but only 3 count:

1. My favorite is the Airoh Matthise in Matt Black. This helmet is SUPER light and has an extremely cool ratchet locking mechanism for the Chin Strap.
And I can NOT state in words just how COOL looking this helmet is...add that to the snug fit and secure feeling I get when I put it on and yup...this be a winner.

2. Second is the Zeus 508W in a Graphic Blue & Silver. I've got 3 visors for this one: Clear, Chrome and Iridium Blue. Great, great helmet!!!

3. Third is my Caberg Justissimo in sparkly Midnight Black. This helmet costs quite a bit and has some really cool features: Its got a built-in, retractable sun-visor for those sunny rides. It looks GREAT...but somehow, its just not too thrilling a wear to me. So I hardly use it....looking to sell it actually

4. Number 4 is actually my 'novelty' helmet (I never wear it). I got it from JPHelmets and its a retro looking flight helmet thingie.

So......any takers?

Nice, I'm saving up for a new Arai. I like those helmets that you showed us, but it doesn't look like they'd be that cool during a hot day, or is it just a bad pic...how good is the ventilation? I'm wondering about the Airoh

Hey Mikesvsix50,
I'm really not sure if a picture can depict just how good a helmet's ventilation system is.
Helmet's with good venting and a CoolMax lining system are always a bonus and all my helmets have those.
What you want is to check out those 'cross-section' diagrams that show how air passes through a helmet to get a good idea of how efficient the ventilation is, but I don't have any problems with my lids though

I am quite fond of my white Nolan N-41 Classic Plus, which I guess is referred to in Europe as a "Jet" helmet.

My favorite is my Z1R helmet. El cheapo and scored high in the recent magazine test.

Yeah...its a "Jet" in Europe. They have a few helmets that even convert to Jet Helmets.
Like the Caber JS-1 3-in-1 Helmet.
It converts from a modular to a half helmet to a 'Jet'.
