Default Performance Shifting

What kind of RPM's do you whined out to when you shift gears? Ex. You whined out first gear to what RPM before you shift into second gear, etc. Well lets put it this way, at what RPM do you feel comfortable shifting without useing the clutch? I am particularly interested in the GSXR 1000s

Well I have a GSXR 600 (not 1000) which redlines at 15,500 rpm. If I am going to wind out ANY gear I would only bring it to about 15,000 rpm.......but I usually wouldn't redline any vehicle in first gear. That would be a very bad gear to wear off.

gsxr 600, i usually shift around 5k in all gears, except when trying to get up to speed fast, then my 05 gixxr will cut out at 11.5k in 1 gear, which is about 85 mph, so i usually shift at 10k if i feel the need to in 1st and 2nd, but by then im going way too fast and have to hit the brakes, unless i feel like going to jail :o)

You really need to find a dyno plot for your bike and shift about 500rpms (indicated) below your max Hp or TQ point otherwise your slowing down.

No, you wind rubber bands. You whined about the welt you got when they broke.
