Default Riding in the rain

http://www.yamaha-sebring.at/html/vi...haag_regen.wmv

This is an example of someone who knows how to ride in the rain. It was (apparently) filmed in Austria, on a closed street. The speedometer is showing his speed in km/h, in case you are wondering.

Don't try this at home.

That is just nuts. I went riding last night and hit a speed of 230 km on a LONG OPEN ROAD with NO OTHER car. I cant even think of going that fast through turns. Man that guy has a Big set of balzzzzzzz.

Austrian Isle of Mann style road racing? That was impressive stuff...but where's the sound?

That's not rain, that's a mist in the air after a rain... try riding to and from work doing 65mph and hitting spots that are about a foot and a half deep. Nothing like a nice Florida downpour to temper your nerves! Hell, when I get caught in the rain I have a rainsuit, baseball cap, and sunglasses on... no helmet. And I LOVE IT!!! The V-Strom 650 I just bought went through flooded areas like a true enduro.

We had some serious thunderstorms (and a tornado) here last Friday ... with hail up to the size of tennis balls. Several bicycle riders had to be treated for bruises and lacerations, and several cars had their windshields damaged. Over 1000 trees were uprooted, and many houses had their roof damaged.

I also saw some bikers out there ... crazy! I'm glad I was "safe" in my cage ...

Now, several twisties are closed because of trees down over the road. It'll take weeks to clean up the mess.
