I have a '98 Katana 600 that hasn't been run for a couple of years. I can start it just fine with the choke on, but I have to leave the choke on halfway until I am over 4000 RPM. If I even touch the throttle under 4000 the bike dies. When I head down the road and get over 4000 RPM, I can shut off the choke and run the bike without any problem until I need to slow down, then I have to turn the choke back on the keep it from dying. I drained the fuel tank and put in new fuel. It also doesn't make any difference if the bike is warmed up or not. Thank in advance, John |
