Default opinion on a bike choice

I have two choices between bikes. they are both 02 750 with low miles on them. one is yellow and black with a bunch of chrome accessories and the other is a custom darkgreen with gold pinstripes. they are both in good running condition. the green bike is extended and dropped a little bit, but the side has this awful gash in the side due to him him droppping it in his driveway. so i was thinking well you have a nice paint job but i dont think it matters if i have to get it repainted anyway. i think i should go for the yellow bike just because of the better condition i think it is in. what do you think?

Yellow is slower than red, there's no question about that. But I'm not sure if yellow is slower than green. Address that issue and allow it to be the determining factor.

Yellow is WAY faster. It'll do 75MPH in California!!!!

I know... I've done it.

Seriously: go with the yellow. If you're buying it to show your friends at bike nite, you're golden either way. If, by some strange chance, you actually want to ride it to experience the performance it can show you, then the yellow would be the way to go.

I was going to say I'd get the green one until I read that it was damaged. Yellow bikes are so "look at me" (unless it's Italian).

YES. If your bike screams "look at me", chances are some little old blue hair just might see it when she's about to make a left.

Unless you like wrenching then get the better bike.
