Default SV oil change

Yo guys,

I'm going to change the oil on her...hopefully tonight if I can figure it out. Is there a website with a procedure anywhere that helps you change the oil on a SV??? The oil filter is positioned in an easy spot, but I don't know where the filler cap is...how tough of a job is it? And do you have any oil recommendations for me? Thank you...in advance, for your help.

Filler should be on the right side engine cover near the top. The sight window for your oil level should be near the bottom on the same side.

As for oil.

Don't forget to replace the crush gasket and don't over torque the bolt either. And make sure you don't keep filling the oil till it's between the line while the bike is on the kick stand or you'll over fill it. Put it on a rear stand or have someone sit on it while you fill the crank case. I'd fill it to 2/3 up between the sight lines.

Cool Love the Sv

The owners manual should be sufficient. If not get a Suzuki mechanics book on e-bay; it covers all.
