Yeah he's right, one of the most drastic changes is the Headlight in the 04-05 600 models. And almost the whole bike on the 05 1000 model.

GSXR 1000 changed year style in 2003 and stayed with that style until the 2005 models came out. Now the 2005 GSXR 1000's are completely redone.

GSXR 600 and 750 was redesigned in 2004 and remains the same now in 2005. 2004 and 2005 600's and 750's have many interchangable parts including ALL the plactic body components and slip on mufflers also work for both models. An easier description would be the 750's and 600's are identical except for the cc's.

It looks as though you are looking to buy stuff for your 05 GSXR 600. Only parts for 04's and 05's will fit. Usually if a part is listed for a 750 it will most likely fit your 600 but I recommend making sure before you purchase whatever particular part you're looking for. Lastly since 2003 the GSXR is almost completely redesigned. Don't expect ANYTHING to fit on an 05 that was made for an 03 model. Not just the headlight was redesigned but all the fairings, the tail light, the fuel system, the exhaust and guages are all redone.

OK, I understand better now. The answer to your question is no. 2002 and 2003 GSXR 750's are the same. They were redesigned in 2004. So 2004's and 2005's are the same.

Best advice is to check out that bike damn well before buying it. Only a pristine 2001 would be $6,000 still.
