Hi Minhthn,

There are alot of factors to consider before anyone can answer that question.
- Are you planning to pay cash or partially finance the bike?
- Does the dealer have a large stock (supply) or is there alot of demand where you are?
- Do you live near the dealer (so that he may make some $$$ on service later)?
- Are you planning to buy some accessories (protective gear or bike accessories like a Givi case) at the same time?

If you are buying now (in season), they will probably be less likely to negotiate (since demand is higher) than if you wait until the fall or winter (end of the season), when they have less demand and need to make space for the 2006 models.

Dont forget to ask if they have a demo that will save you alot of cash.
Also if tell them that you do not want any offers that suzuki has to give away, you pay for them.
Most will wave freight and PID.
Ask to see what they paid for the bike and work with that price if you are paying cash for the bike.
TALK TO THE OWNER OF THE SHOP, they have the last say on the price.

20%. Wow. That's a hefty drop. I doubt you can get that low but it's a good place to start your negotiations. Good luck !!!

MSRP out the door (including tax, title and license) is the norm, unless you're buying a leftover (i.e. a 2004 when the 2005s are out).

I agree. They'll usually knock ~10%-15% off of a previous model year new bike. Otherwise it's MSRP. They seem to work with me a little better asking for gear instead of a price drop.

In Ventura you just have to swallow. The less the mess the lower the price.

The statement about asking for gear is dead on. Try to get some good gear out of them instead of a price break. When's the next time you will willingly spend 50-100 bones on a pair of gloves? Or 200-400 for a leather jacket? $200-$600 for a helmet? Most people don't want to spend their money on safety items when they can use it to bling their new ride they're fixin' to kill themselves on.

It's possible. I got $1,100 off my 04 GSXR 600. What I did was told them I had to sell my old bike and once I did I would come back immediately and buy the GSXR if he gave me a good offer. He originally dropped off like $300-400 (so he was gonna give it to me for $7,800) dollars. I sold my old bike in 2 weeks came back and he said, "What did I quote you agian?" I replied "$7,100." He kind of tilted his head and said OK

All you have to do is walk in with a wad of cash the size of your offer. If they don't take it, walk out having left your phone number and your offer on a business card. If they want to sell it, they'll call. Otherwise, you go back a week later and make another offer.

Default prices

Today I was looking at my dealer's MSRP prices. then I checked cycletrader, then KBB. If a 05 gsxr 750's msrp is around 9k, cycle trader goes for about 8k, and KBB is 7k. Who am I to believe?
