| All right; I have a 2004 GSXR 600 that's in mint condition. Only thing is I have a HORRIBLE DEAD SPOT right in the center of my low beam. High beam is fine........the bulbs are fine.......just low beam is USELESS. I looked im my manual for headlight adjustment but found nothing. I can see the silouette of the bulb being refleted on the street but still; dead center of my line of sight.......BLACK. Anyone have any suggestions or perhaps the same issue? (I hardly ever ride at night, but this is still an issue to me).

| Adjust you light vetically. There are 2 knobs under the cluster that you can raise and lower your beam. If its anything like the 04 750 which I have, I know what your talking about and I adjusted the beam up a little and it helped some. The spot is still there but it is out farther and I am not over riding the light as quick.

| I tried adjusting the headlight....and ended up sending my light looking for stars. My guess is that isn't the issue. I was wondering now. The large headlight in the GSXR is an H4 I believe. Thats the type with 2 filaments, one for high and one for low beams and a painted cap. What this dead spot seems to be is the painted cap on the bulb itself. As far as I understood; that paint on the headlight is to help disperse the light to the chrome on the healight casing but I may be wrong. I'm wondering if I am right; and if so I may simply have the wrong healight in the bike..... If that isn't whats wrong with the light then Suzuki designed a HORRIBLE headlight. My friends BEHIND me with low-beams have better vision than I do in front of them with my high-beam on. When they're behind me I can see my own silouette in my high beam.....something isn't right here. (BTW: I never outride my headlight. This usually resluts in slow speed night rides or me not leading the pack).

| The paint is to keep the undirected light out of other drivers' eyes. Most low-beam bulbs are like that. There should be enough directed light coming off the reflector to do the job. Double check that the bulb is seated properly.

| I think you're right there. I'll play with the adjustments a lot more tomorrow and hope for the best. Otherwise again; this would be the worst headlight setup I have ever experienced if this isn't an adjustment issue.

| I would suggest adjust upward just a hair to put the dead spot way ahead of you. Those dead spots are generally the result of focus. MagLites are notorious for it. Looks the designers of the headlamp went the lesser of the evils when focusing the low beam.
