| Alright, here it goes. I have a 2001 Katana 600, which has some pretty bad scratches on it from the owner prior to me who backed into it with a trailer or whatever the hell he did. I want to paint it, but I want to paint it a camouflage color...not regular camouflage but a white camouflage (colors are grey, silver, white and black). I want it to look like a military type camouflage which is dull. Should I just use spray paint to acheive this or should I use paint and an airbrush? What are your opinions on this? I saw a dull green special forces bike (official military) when I was in Florida and this is what inspired me. I think it'd look awesome, but maybe I'm just a fag. Lemme know what you guys think.

| Inspiron - White camo isn't really that camo, given the colors. Sure it may be harder to see than a bright yellow, green, or red bike, but I think it'd be more visible than a lot of other colors I've seen on the road. Maybe I'm wrong, but there's only one way to find out...to do it. If I don't like it I have a buddy that does airbrush work and I could just pay him to paint it a different color.

| Muscle Biker ![]() | doubleup - hey, it's your life. If you want to ride a camouflage bike, go for it. As a safety-concious (= somewhat paranoid) rider, I want to be as visible as possible (without violating the limits of good taste). A friendly bit of advice ... if you want to stay around here for any length of time, don't start personal attacks, especially against long-timers like Rowdy. He's sometimes a bit of a PITA (he admits this himself), but you just have to get a thick skin. Going off on him (or anyone else) will just get you banned. Uncle Bob is quick to ban people who he feels are here to cause trouble. |

Just kidding...although I think the classic lines of a Katana are best covered in a solid paint scheme (i.e. all red or all blue with shiny finish).

| [quote=doubleup]removed by SG1, it's an untrue and stupid statementQUOTE] . . . and you could do better? He's six months old wise-@$$, and I'd bet cash money he's got better manners than you. Face-to-face . . . you'd be tooth-hunting for that statement. Adios, jerk. [EDIT: Thread locked, jerk removed. P.S. I think your self-sexual analysis was correct. Go for the ridiculous paint job so you'll be obvious when you pull up at the Blue Oyster Bar for a night of leather-clad dancing with the fellows.]
