Default My .02 cents!

Sounds like your battery is not holding its charge. I'm not an expert but I'd like to help ya. Advance Auto, Auto Zone...places like this charge batteries pretty quickly (5min to 1hr). I would have them check the battery to see if it needs to be replaced or if it can be charged.

Hope that helps.

Yeah, most places can test it right quick. For some reason, mc batteries only last 2 or 3 years for me.

Why?? You haven't charged the battery by jumping it you have merely used another power source as asubstitution for the electrical system.
You need to have run the bike around (on the road not the driveway ot get revs up) for a good 10 mins for the alternator to charge the battery back up a little after a total discharge of it.

I would start by charging the battery up to full..I use a 2 amp charger. Then see if it holds the charge. If not...then get a new battery. The dealership also has a meter that will tell you how good the battery is too.

There is probably NO warranty on the battery itself, unless you could show that it was a manufacturing defect, which is almost impossible to prove.

If you charge the battery (using a trickle-charger) and it can't hold the charge, it needs to be replaced.

And I hope you weren't using a car to jump-start the bike - that can fry your electronics if you aren't careful. If you *must* use a car - make sure that the engine is NOT running, since a car alternator puts out more power than the bike can handle.

First choice: I would remove the battery and charge it overnight with a trickle-charger.

Second choice, if the first choice fails: I would remove the battery and go buy a new one.

Third choice: Jump it from another motorcycle.

Last choice: If I really need to get on the road, and don't have a charger handy, they I would jump it from a small car (gasoline, not diesel), and make sure that the car is NOT running.

Taking the battery out is really easy. When my bike's battery died I just jumped it using a car. Note I jumped it with the car turned off. Then just drove it to the dealership and had the battery checked.

My humble opinion is that if you do remove the battery..that is the safest.
