If it's a 2004 and had miles on it, it had gas in it a year ago. One winter of neglect and the fuel dries out and varnishes the carbs. On the other hand, the dealer may be taking you for a ride, and not the good kind. You'll find out when you ride it next.

So it was just assembled recently? Or did they do it last year and start it up then?

Default Buy a new battery ?

Better safe than sorry - get a new battery $39.99.

PS

I have a kinda stupid question. I bought a GS 500 yesterday and the guy who delivered it said he'd lock it for me. He pushed in the Key and locked the bike's steering.

But I don't know how to unlock the bike! I'm spent two hours fiddling with the key!

Any suggestions? My email is Brian.swan@hotmail.com
