Default Lowering the 2004 GSXR 750

Hey guys just want some feed back on good and bad points on lowering the bike. I am thinking about 1 inch. Will this have any ill effect on the bike? If anyone has lowered theirs please let me know how you like it.

Will take away from your suspension travel.
Could possibly alter your rake/trail if not done properly.
