Mike,

Any news on when your "loved one" will be back?

How has the insurance company behaved? Do they have an estimate yet?

Cheer up dude!

Another one bites the dust !

(Glad you're Ok ).

Let's see on the 26 you were sharing a near accident and on the 29th an actual accident. Maybe you should be praticing your low speed drills from MSF ( you did take MSF ?).

You have also been complaining about the lousy cold weather, well this is probably the worst time of year to ride, in the spring all the oils that have accumulated and have not been washed off by rain yet ( the oil is harder to wash off when it's cold ). Cold roads do not offer as much grip as when they are hot so take it easy untill the sun shines. I think it has more to do with road conditions and your lack of experience than with your tires.

Newbies get confused, if getting one wheel off the ground is cool, then getting both up in the air must be really cool !

( sorry couldn't resist ).

HAHA, indeed. I defnately will hold off for the warmer weather. And my bike should be back within the next week or two...insurance has been pretty cool, he got out to the shop today, and now I'm just waiting for them to cut me a check.

I don't care for wheelies, but I stilll enjoy getting both wheels off the ground on some high speed whoops! Guess I still have some squid left in me!

On my ride route, there's this hill that drops off suddenly and curves hard to the right. Last weekend, as I toppe dthis hill, I see two skid marks. They started (quite abruptly) about 5' after the crest of the hill and slid off inot the ditch/weeds.

I asked at the fire station (the hill is in my district) and was told that a "dope-smoking pizza delivery boy" had stuffed it there. I can believe it.

That road is a real booger. I rolled a truck/slammed a culvert pipe on that road, and I have also fought a vehicle fire on that road (2 DOAs . . . hit a tree at . . . like 90?). It's a bad one. Full of turns with no signage.

Apparently, he was either smoking dope at the time of the wreck or had smoked dope immediately before.
