Wow, I thought winter was over? I didn't ride either, but that was due to a sunburn!

You might wanna invest in a bike cover or at least a tarp. Today was in the low to mid 70s and totally sunny. Should be back in the middle 80s by tuesday.

It was about 50 degrees here in chicago today, and by the time I could ride today, it was around 45...still pretty cool. But a wind breaker under my jacket made a big difference. Sorry about the freaky weather over there, I'm originally from there, and I know how that goes. Warm weather's right around the corner.

The spot where they're at (the 883 is there off to the left) stays dry unless there's a pretty hefty rainstorm with wind. Plus there's a fireplace there, but it was too nasty today to light the fire.

Normally in the winter, I keep my bike at work in the heated shop where I have access to all of our "shop supplies". But I broke out the harley early and I got the gixxer last Friday. I don't really want 'em at work any more this season.

Later in the day I pulled them both in the garage and dryed them with a blower then wiped them down. They were happy. I'd hate to have to tarp my babies.

That's a terrible way to treat a Gixxer!

(I haven't ridden in almost 2 weeks ... it's April - rain / snow / cold / wind / more rain ... thank goodness there's only 6 more days until May!)

There was an article in the newspaper that they have started to clear the snow from the Gotthard Pass route ... it will be re-opening for traffic on May 25th (yes, in a month). There's still over 6 feet of snow on the ground up there .... brrrr.

I got about 100 miles in last night. But today it's raining like crazy. All I want is to get past the 1K mark so I can run my new bike the way it's meant to run

At least last night was pretty decent

Couple guys rode their bikes to work here today, it was kinda nice when I left for work this morning, but now I'm glad I drove the truck instead.

First 1000 miles? That's just a day ride! What's taking so long?

Yes, the weather stinks, but at least you guys have your bikes for when it improves.
I'm still waiting for my order to come in!

Oops ... double post. You're right. I should count my blessings. I've got two bikes to ride.
