Michelin Pilot Powers. Unfortunately they are Michelin's, but still they are a great tire

while we're on the topic, i've been tryin to find a place online that sells the dunlop d207zr's for cheap to replace my rear tire but haven't been able to find a single site. all i've been able to find have been the d208. did they stop making the d207 once the newer one came out?

I ran Metzler MZ1's and I loved them they are a great tire. But then I got a set of Pirrelli Diablo's and when I go for new tires this spring I will be getting another set of Diablo's. They warm up good and I completely trust them in the corners. As with any tire watch that first mile or two on cold days.

i always warm the tires up before anything. I got pulled over on base while warming up the tires and i had to try to explain to the cops what i was doing..... he thought i was losing control of the bike......

What would you be doing that would reflect the cops thinking you don't have control of your bike? Whatever happened to just riding around to warm up the tires? I could understand a track racer being worried if his tires are sufficiently warm, but for regular street riding??

Compression of the tire while riding normally is the most effective method. Weaving back and forth does little (how often do you see racers doing it?). It's not like a car tire, where weaving puts stress on the sidewalls and tread to warm them.

Check this out.

I've got Dunlop D208's on my Gixxer. They're new, but I can't report anything bad about them. Good grip once they warm up.....me likey!
