OK, time to help a noob out.
What is the difference between a slip on exhaust and a bolt on? thanks guys.

From my understanding (which might be wrong!!),there is no diference.
A slip-on is just the silencer which is the bit bolted on.If it was just a slip-on there is no reason why it couldn't slip off.

A bolt on uses the stock bolt pattern and "bolts right up"

A slip on has a small piece of tubing attached to the can and the tubing slides over the stock tubing and replaces the old can.

So, essentially they are the same thing. Because they do not replace the headers too.
