Default amber turnsignal bulb help

OK, I put clear lences on my rear turnsignals. The amber bulbs that came with the lences weren't the right number, and were blinking super fast. So I bought the number that correspondes to the original /white/ bulb -921- from "Auto zone" and now the left works fine but the right starts blinking fast after one or two normal cycles. the funny thing is that this happens only when the engine is running... When I swich back to the original white bulbs everything is back to normal.
I'm not good with electric stuff, so I have no idea what could be wrong.
I looked on internet to find the exact same bulb as the original white "Stanley" but coudn't. Anyway the number 921 is right, could it there be something different in addition to that number that makes all the difference?
I know it's a strange and vague question but if anyone had similar experience, please help.

P.S. I mounted flush turn lights on the front a month ago without much complications. Although I had to figure out what to do with the third wire that was comming with the flush mount's. All and all everything worked just fine up until now.
