One of my riding buddies just put a 1k engine in his 600 frame. Then he decided it would be a great idea to have some impressive acceleration abilities so he played with they sprokets some until he ended up with a -2/+4 combo. In 3rd gear his bike pulls about as hard as my busa, I didn't want to throw the throttle any lower than that because of his sproket choice but I seriously don't see him staying where he is for more than a couple of days. There is no way to launch this thing without short-shifting so badly that you don't get near pk hp until atleast 3rd and it took everything I had to be able to keep the front end at a managable level even then. I understand wanting a sleeper and just plain wanting a faster bike, but even I think this is overboard. PS. Was one helluva ride though!  |
