You will be able to feel the power difference, though probably not as much as you would hope. However you will feel a difference with turning, the 750 is amazing at turning, however, for pure power you shoulda jumped to a litre bike. I went form a kawasaki ninja zx 600 r, rode that for 4 years, then jumped up to the GSXR 1000. Thing is amazing, before making the jump though I rode the 750, my friends brother had one and he let me test it, and while it is an impressive machine, the power wasn't that noticeable for me, so I needed more. It's all personal though, the 750 is an amazing bike, I prefer the litre myself though for sheer power. If you want some number comparisons to see what the power jump would be. For example. Sportsrider.com said that the 03 yamaha yzf-r6 (they didn't have 02 on there) has 105.4 hp and weighs 415 pounds with gas in it. 105.4(hp) / 415(lbs) = 0.25398(number has been rounded). This gives you your power to weight ratio. For the 06 (05 wasnt listed.. why are all the bikes i need for this article not on this site...) gsxr 750 you get 129.1 HP and 440 pounds with gas in it. 129.1(hp) / 440(lbs) = 0.29478 (rounded). So as you can see here you get about a 16% increase in power. For the 03 GSXR 1000 (my bike) you get 152.1 HP and it weighs in at 442 pounds with gas in it. this will give you 152.1(hp) / 442(lbs) = 0.34412(rounded). This being said you can see the jump you would have made if you went from the R6 - to the gsxr 1000 is aruond 35% increase in power.

Hope my post helped.
