That would be me. I want performance for safety's sake, actually. There have been a number of times where I would have been safer with better brakes, handling, or acceleration. Person tries to merge into me: brakes or accelleration can get me out of the way. Person swings out in front... brakes and handling.

I had a guy go from the left hand lane, across all lanes of traffic, right in front of me on my cruiser. I emergency braked (I had only a few months experience at the time), overbraked the rear, and fishtailed across the road. I kept my head, and kept the brake locked until there was an opening, unlocked, swerved, and was past the guy. Better brakes I might have just been able to stop. Better handling and the opening to swerve would have been larger. Etc.

My cruiser, with its 50 hp/ 50 torque, can already "go fast" decently enough. I don't need to go 116 like some of my sportbike friends. I just want total dominion over 0-90ish (basically the traffic speeds around me).

It is nice to have that performance with braking, acceleration ect ect.. but it took me a long time to learn exactly all my bike can do. I'd like to do a track day to just see how far i can push it. But that's just so i learn how to handle my bike better.

my zzr
Max Power 98.00 HP (71.5 kW) at 12000 RPM
Max Torque 61.00 Nm (44.85 ft*lbs)

The SV650 sounds like a good fir if you can find one.
I was going to get one until the deal on the Bandit came up.
