break in can be a b!#&* fo sure. what a tease. i imagine the winters where you are might be close to what we experience here in louisiana. i ride year round pretty much but might have to break for nasty cold and wet. believe it or not, last january i made a 350+mile ride in beautiful sunny (and not too cold) weather.
there seems to be scads of aftermarket for your zuki, unlike my ninja. (i am still waiting for er max to deliver from the UK.) the only undertail i could find for it. got the hugger on a month ago and it does look sweet. all color matched. so, word to the wise, er max might take a couple of months, even through motospecialties here in the states. shop around.
anyway, the pics are sweet. hope to post some of mine when i'm done. and hope the weather holds out for you.

07M50zAllDaWay,

Love your choice on the pipe (I have the same one). I just wanted to let you know I have two emails into banditmania.co.uk for the Undertray and Hugger! I will post the details once I get um since both you and I live in the states and have the same Bike.

Great, thanks! Check out Ermax(frogspecialties.com) and powerbronze (powerbronzeusa.com) for huggers and undertails as well.

superbikestore.com has huggers for $139, but the quality may be questionable (per research on another bike forum).

Dale has huggers at $210 @ holeshot.com, no question on his quality.

Also look at everythingsuzuki.com, they list at $183.

I would never hesitate to buy from holeshot.com. He has developed some great mods for the Bandits, which are almost completely compatable with the GSX650F. He provides excellent customer service and has alot of great mods available.

The reason I ask is that the GSX650X seat will fit right on my 1250 Bandit, and I hear that the 650 seat is more comfortable.
Rick,
I just found an OEM gel seat for the 1250 Bandit at shop.everythingsuzuki.com for a nice price of $263.96, I am considering putting one on my GSXF.

I have heard that the Gel seat for the 1250 Bandit is quite a bit better than the stock seat, but I don't recall seeing any reports as to how it compairs to the stock seat on the 650.

My season is almost over for this year, so I won't be doing anything about seat upgrades for now, but I would be interested in hearing your comments on the gel seat if you get it.

I emailed them, and they said the seat won't work on my bike. I think they are wrong, but I won't be buying it until they say it will work. That way I can return it on the outside chance that it does not work Besides, either I broke in the seat, or it broke in my ass, but I really don't mind it now.

Glad to heat your liking your seat better.

I think they are wrong too, my dealer had a 1250, and a 650 sitting next to each other on the show floor, and I switched the seats out, each fit the other perfect.

i like these. i've never been on them. seen them in person a few times...
i just like them for their looks
BUT i've heard good things about them

the others seem too sport oriented and don't seem comfy for the longer runs
Were did you find a new 2008 GSX650F for $6000 Out the Door.

I have been looking for one, I refuse to buy until I get it for that price.

I am waiting until the last day of the year

Those were not OTD prices, they were just the lowest advertised price I could find on those Bikes. I ended up paying $6550 OTD. I could have got it for $6400 OTD at another dealer, but it wasn't worth the 300 mile trip.

you got a deal cuz. calmes motorsports here in louisiana is a "best price" (supposedly) dealer and they quoted me just over 7500 out the door on that same bike, which sent me (running) to another dealer and ultimately for a 2007 ninja 650 that i got for right at 6k.

You got a better deal on a Ninja then I could find. I guess it didn't help that there was only 1 2008 and no 2007's within 100 miles. I could have had the 08 Ninja in lime green for around $6450. I figured the GSXF was worth the $100!
Did you see it won MCN Sport Tourer of the year? Not bad considering it's 1/2 the cost of CW's Sport Tourer OTY!

Default 2009 Ninja 650 R

why o why did I have to sit on one? This years is so much nicer than the 2008. I am keeping my sanity because I don't know if it rides better than my GSXF, but I gotta say i really like the new ninja.

Can't go wrong with an SV650 solid bike for the money, same could be said for GSX650F.
