 |  Bad Night Last Night
Tryin to keep this short. We went riding last night (12 of us). I stayed in the lead group most of the night. On the rode for 20 minutes in the fast lane and we are downtown STL. THere are express lanes that open up and u only have 2 sec. to get to em. Van in the next lane over cuts us off and DOESNT get in the express lanes. He just cut us off and the leader, Jeff, locks em up. We made it through that, whew! Could have been BAD. Goin back home we are gettin on the highway and its a sweeping turn lane. I'm bike 3 and bike 2 is ahead and on the outside and he hits gravel, brakes, comes up and lays it down to avoiod careeing into the guardrail. His 03 ninja is totaled, and he is barely harmed. Small scratch on his hand and leg. Im done at this point so we head home and break from the pack (it's 1 am at this point). I find out today that the other group got into a lot of trouble. Joe (on an R1) did a wheelie and landed on a STATE TROOPER. The trooper pulled behind him and hit the cherries but Joe took off and the cop gave up. Bob and Rob were sittin back watchin all this and cop notices them hanging back. He pulls em over and Joe doesn't have his bike in his name. Cop gives em a ticket for illegal lane change. Then he has a warrant for not showing up to court for a stop sign he rolled through. He wouldnt give up Joe's name so cop sent him to jail for the night and impounded his bike. He wouldnt let Bob get anyone to pick it up. Needless to say last night was a hell of a night. Very sorry about the long post but it was rather enlightening. Next weekend is THE RIDE. Over 1000 bikes meeting downtown and riding somewhere! |
