I have never owned a Truimph. But I have drooled over the 955 some. They are very cool bikes. The triple motor sounds so wicked also. They have always got great reviews in the mags.

Yes, the front does look a bit dated. Can you give a run down of your personal impression of the bike?

What I've read suggested a nice but not really competitive bike. I think it's telling that when Triumph went to the new 1050 triple, there was no Daytona in the lineup. Unless I missed it.

The Triumph dealer in California mentioned something that this year (200 will be pretty quiet. With the possible introduction of a "Tiger Cub" (Triumph Tiger model with the 675 Daytona motor), there won't be many new models this year.

But next year (2009), Triumph is rumored to be planning some major new model updates, so I wouldn't be surprised to see a Daytona 1050 reappearing then.

It's a good bike yes. This I know about. Triump although is good..but at the same time you'll need someone that knows how to work on them. It's not rocket science but still it's not as easy as just looking in a manual such as some of the jap bikes. Loads of torque. I found it like an RC51. It has "Old School" in it too. It'll be a head-turner if you get it. Post pics if you get it.

Sincerely
