Default 3 Questions

1. When shifting from 2nd to 1st, sometimes I accidently put in neutral. If I try to put it into first after (note I would be going about 15 mph max) it makes a HARD click and slams into gear. I learned after the first or second time to just ride the brakes to a stop in neutral rather then the tranny slamming sound. I know how to shift between gears, and sometime is just doesn't go into gears. Does anyone else have the situation with their GSXR?

2. I like to change my oil between about every 1500 to 2000 miles. The manual says now to only do it at every 3500 or so. I don't feel right with that it seems like too long on a high revving motor. Tomorrow I will change my oil for the first time in this new bike (other than the scheduled maintenance which they changed it for me). Is there a particular type of oil which is good for the bike? Note that I only drive around town most of the time and rarely RACE the engine.

3. I was thinking about setting my suspension a littler stiffer too. The settings should be set progressive with the back about twice the front correct? (i was thinking abort 1/4 front and 3/4 back) I was going to just set the dampers, but I'm not really sure how the pre-load should work in conjunction. I'm not gonna change a damn thing with the coil-over.

If you want to answer any of these questions please label them 1,2 or 3. And if you plan to answer the 3rd one, please do not respond if you are not sure. Thats something i don't want to guess about.

(87GSXRNut I take your responses in the highest regard here).
