Default 1/4 Mile...

How fast would a Gixxer 600 do in the 1/4? With an average size rider. Also, what is the hp rating on a 600, 750 & 1100?

Mike

Thanx for the link!

Question...how much hp does a Micron Exhaust system add? Also, how much do you think it would cut down on the 1/4 mile time?

I'm thankful for these numbers! Statistics like these will keep me from trying to become a statistic out on the 101.

That figure might be wrong but I doubt it's far from reality.

These are not the average cars on the road, for every Accord how many civics are sold ? For every Altima or Maxima how many Sentras are sold.

Low end, less powerfull cars are what the majority of people are buying.

In Canada and Europe to be sure ... but in the US, with the SUV-craze and cheap gas, I would imagine that the average vehicle has a higher HP rating than over here.

Most cars here are 4 cylinder, and the average displacement is 1.6 or 1.8 liters and average around 100hp. Small "city" cars (Smart, Ford Ka, Opel Corsa, Renault Twingo, Mazda 121, Honda Civic, Fiat Uno/Panda, etc.) sometimes have a 1.2 or 1.3 liter engine with about 50hp. A "family" car (Audi A6, BMW 5-series, etc.) will usually have a 6-cylinder, 2.5 liter engine and up to 200 hp. I would agree with Bob, the small models outnumber the power-cars, so the average car IN EUROPE does have less than 100hp.

The people who drive 8 or more cylinders (or more than 200 hp) are a rare exception, considering the current gas price of about $4.75 a gallon.

the best selling cars are honda accord, toyota camry, and ford taurus. All of those start around 140 hp. Now, trucks outsell all cars here in the U.S. (it's a phenomenon according to the rest of the world). The base model ranger or colorado(s10) is around 140 also. The freakin mazda 3 starts with like 120! That's mazda's bread and butter car, along with the 6 which is like 140 with that cheap 4 cylinder.
