Question What the hell!

Okay heres a story with a question. I bought a 06 GSX-R600 last year in August. I sold it to my friend with 300 miles on it 2 months later. Well he sold it back once I move at a great deal. (Not the brightest Guy in the world) Now the problem is when I shift into gears 3 and above and give it gas I hear the engine rev out of control. The problem is no speed with the gas. I can't go over 50mph now! What the hell is that?

Maybe he's saying the same thing about you...

When you say the engine revs out of control, does that mean that it seems to be in neutral and you rev it and have no power?

Clutch is slipping.
Might just need adjustment.
Might have the wrong oil.

Might be shot and need replacement.......$$$$$!

Default What the hell 2

Well he did drop it twice. I took it to the dealer the first day I got it back. No problems at all. I just put about 200 miles on it when this started.

I bought the bike for 9000. Brand new. Sold it to him for 8500 with 300 miles on it. He sold it back for 4100. with a total of 2500 miles on it. The dealer said nothing is wrong with the engine or gears. That was 3 months ago. I don't ride that often but when I do I ride hard. I ride my busa more cause I like to just cruse by the Harley's (LOL)>

My vote: wrong oil.

Change the oil/filter and report back.

Yes! Just soak a rag in it and wipe the handgrips, seat and tires. You'll be fine.

A little oil does have to go inside, you dummy. I'm just glad they put the oil cap in an easily accessible place, right on top. I still don't know why you need a key for the oil cap. Hmm... maybe people try to siphon other people's oil? Strange.

Is that what that's for? Damn . . . I've been storing chili in there.

Chili? I use that for spare bits of wire and screws. You never know when you're going to need it.

I just keep going until something solid stops me. Like a wall, or a pretty blonde...

They don't perform very well after you've slammed your bike into them though.... the blonde that is the wall will be fine.

Blondes are also pretty good at straightening out fork tubes. Just an FYI.
