Hi all, I'm hoping someone on here can help me. I still have plenty of rubber on the rear tire of my 2002 750 Katana, but was thinking of putting a 180 on it when it eventually does wear out. My question is will a 180 fit on the Kat? It currently has a 150, but it looks like there is lots of room to accomodate the extra three cm of the larger tire. I can't find the post now, but I was sure I had read on here or on Katana Planet (which I read, but am not a member) that someone had put a 180 on their Kat and that it performed better - not that I'm complaining about the current performance... plenty of lean for me. I just like the look of the beefier 180 and if traction, ride and cornering are enhanced, then great. If it does fit, will I have to also change the wheel? What about the front tire - does the larger rear mean I should also upgrade the front? Maybe I'm better off with the OEM setup!! |
