Default Longest Ride So Far...

Okay, so this is going to seem extremely, extremely short to many of you I'm sure.... (Gixxerdale!! ) But yesterday I went on my longest ride in one day so far... 250 miles.

Keep in mind that I've got a GS500 w/ probably the most uncomfortable seat ever invented...I think the same guy who invented stiletto heels took a stab at designing motorcycle seats for the GS!

Question for those of you that are consistently riding 250+ miles a day...and many on really uncomfortable bikes...how do you last? I found that my right shoulder kept cramping up and my knees started aching from being in one position for so long. Every chance I'd get, I would release the trottle and shake out my hand for a moment as well as try to shake out one leg at a time, but it didn't really seem to help that much.

Of course, the majority of the people I was riding w/ had cruisers so they weren't having the same problems as I was...highway pegs, etc...

I'm looking at getting the SV650S and I want to be able to go on longer trips 300-400 miles in one day w/o killing myself. I know that I don't want a cruiser...how do you get your body used to riding for that long at one time??
