Default Some Bandit mods done

This weekend I managed to get some maintenance and a couple of mods done. I added aluminum pegs, heel toe shifter, bar riser kit and stainless brake lines. The pictures aren't good since I'm trying to figure out how to use the camera.

Stripped down with pegs, shifter riser and lines installed.

Back together with Holeshot bar risers.

I've only got to ride it for about 2 hours since the mod so I still need to fine tune final bar and lever placement. It's amazing the difference 1 3/8 " makes. The brakes are noticeably stronger with no sponginess.

Next up, ZG double bouble and tire hugger.

Looking good! You'll have to enlighten me as to what those new shifter parts do, and how aluminum pegs help. I'd guess that engine buzz comes through much more with such light pegs.

Do the stainless brake lines cause the front break lever to get so hot that you need a red rag on the lever???

You can use the shifter normally or you can move your foot farther back on the peg and shift with your heel or arch. Handy when leaned over coming out of a corner - no toe dragging. The pegs give it a little more Clarence, I tried a couple of my favorite corners on the way home and didn't grind the pegs. Don't know about buzzing yet.

LOL Just using it to keep the brake lever cracked a bit to allow any left over air bubbles to escape after bleeding new lines.

Thanks Blade, your windshield goes in next. Hopefully I'll get better pictures.

Dang. I didn't know you were a peg-dragger. You're not pushing the bike down now, are you?

Heck no, my size I'd low side doing that to much. There aren't to many straight roads here. You can easily drag pegs at 30 mph or less. Twisties everywhere you go.

Paul, I've gotta see the heel-toe shifter. I saw one on a 1st gen. gixxer{in a picture} like mine, and thought that was a great alternative to flipping the lever for the race pattern.

I f we can get together for a ride this week I'll let you take it for a ride. It comes in handy. If it was longer and shaped a little straighter, I'd be able to up-shift and down shift without moving my foot. I think someone with a size 10 or smaller boot would be able to do it.

LOL !!! someone noticed !!! That's what we call it. It's actually for large factory floors. It will sweep, scrub, and vacuum floors at the same time. Really handy for prepping floors for epoxy coating. It does work well for smoothing out ice for skating too.
