So im enjoying my sv650 on its 170th mile, and as I pull off of a highway onramp, I realize that my bike wont shift down. Try as i might, the bike is stuck in neutral! I squeeze the clutch as tight as a i can and continue to tap the shifter down with no luck. Finally, I put some of my weight on the thing and it pops into first and I ride home with no problems. Once I get home, I proceed to try tightening the clutch cable hoping this is my problem, no avail. Occasionally the bike will shift effortlessly into first or second from neutral, but its mostly stuck there. Starting the bike up in neutral then shifting into first with the clutch pulled in stalls it about 90% of the time right now. Whats strange is, once she gets moving she will usually shift ok, at a stand still is when the problem is most noticable, its really a hastle at a light or an intersection when I need to get into first at a stop and cant! Any suggestions? I'm still in warranty but I really dont want to put a 4 day old bike in the shop.
