Default 2004 GSX Katana to go with 2005 C50

Just purchased a 2004 Katana with4047 miles on it from a REPO reseller for $4075.00. I think this will make the perfect companion bike for my Suzuki Boulevard C50.

Nice!

Katana's are nice bikes, sporty but forgiving, you'll enjoy it!

I had a 1994 Katana years ago. I like to go on long rides and wanted the comfort of a cruiser, so I got the C50 when I came back from Iraq, but I missed the Sport Bike. Now I have the best of both worlds.

Nice! It's like a Bandit with plastic. It's quite a bit bigger than your '94, isn't it? You might find it more comfortable that your C.

It actually seems about the same size as the 94. It is more nimble than my C50, but I wouldn't do well in that riding position for too long a time. I can ride my C50 for a long time without any discomfort. I like the Katana for short rides around the town. For longer rides, I will use the C50.

Have you been on a '94 lately? I have. They're quite small by comparison. I think you're just used to the C50 now.

You may be right. The first time I got on the Katana, it seemed like a toy compared to the size of the C50.

Default 2006 Gsxf

I have just started riding a 2006 GSXF. I am new to riding and really enjoying this bike so far. Seems to corner very well and came with some aftermarket michelin tread. I do notice some neck pain after about 40 mins of riding but nothing a stretch or two can get rid of. Really fun to ride around town and on the back roads. Nice styling and I believe still the same specs as the 2004. Nice bike. I have attached a picture of the bike just before I picked it up from Ultimate Suzuki.

Nice bike Jason. I had a 1994 Katana for a few years. I sold it before I deployed to Iraq. I wanted a cruiser for some long distance riding. I missed the Ktana and just picked upped the '04. I rode it home from the Auction place and it was a fun ride. I haven't riden since because of the weather. You should really enjoy your bike. Are you in NY State?

Negative. Up in Canada just outside of Toronto. We are sitting at about 45F right now so riding is limited. Temp is supposed to go up this weekend though, so we might actually get some riding in. East coast of the US is getting some pretty harsh weather now I've heard.

It was a beautiful weekend. I rode the katana on saturday and the C50 on Sunday. It will reach over 80 F today. I can't wait to get out of work.

Its starting to warm up here now, we were sitting at about 65 in toronto today. This weekend is looking like 70 and sunny. And yeah, work really starts to drag when you know you have a bike sitting out in the lot waiting to be taken home.

Nothing but rain this past weekend. I saw some hardcore guys out there, but I will wait. It looks like this afternoon may be pretty good.
