Default Instructors ?

What the hell kind of instructors do you have, that would not tell her or anyone else about an R bike for a first bike, Just interested in making a buck ? I
f he/she is teriffied on a 250 then are they in for a surprise. If she make it past a ride or 2 on the new bike, It will either sit for a long time or be put up for sale. Of course I might be wrong, it's happened before.

And can you have someone shoot some video while you're doing that? I'm sure you could make some good money selling that video to the leg humpers around here...

Her husband has set her up for failure. If she isn't very comfortable/confident on the 250's, the first time she rides the GSXR it may just turn her off from riding all together. She may do alright but she may just give up on riding.

Sign of a good rider: Don't try to equip the group or riding partner to keep up with you. Set the pace for the least experienced/slower rider!

Ok Rocketeer, you're gonna enjoy this.

I'm on a local board called the Colorado Sportbike Club. Guess what pops up today:
Quote:
I am getting my wife into motorcycle riding; currently she has a 2000 GSX-R 600 with 10,300 miles. The bike is stock and never been laid down and is in great shape. After she took the safety course and they had her on a night hawk she says she feels better on that kind of bike. So we are looking at trading her bike for an SV/Bandit/Zed type of bike. If any are intrested let me know maybe we can work out a trade; I will say right out we are looking for at least a 500cc bike.
So anyways, at least they learned. Unless its someone different, which would be really interesting hehe.

If that's her, I'm glad her husband is supportive of her choice. She was looking and feeling more comfortable after the second half of the road day.

Yeah, that's her. Found another thread where he said her name and told everyone to say hi

i'm betting $100 the husband bought it mostly as his own second bike, and not her first bike (says the guy whose first bike is a ZX-9R )

(bet is not real, but you get the point)

Could have been, but I distinctly remember her saying her husband bought that bike for her. You should have seen my jaw drop after recalling all the threads about this!

Well, if he is, he's trying to trade the thing for a smaller bike, so bad call on his part.

At the very least, he realised (or she realized) what was going on a wised up, wish I'd have done that haha.

I have a year on a scooter and only 4 weeks on my current bike, and i would be absolutely TERRIFIED if I were presented with that machine as my first.

Sounds like her hubby's a squid. Are they younger? That would explain the lack of knowledge and experience that goes into choosing a motorcycle
