Bound and determined to get a performance motorcycle aren't we?

Well, if you do and don't quite like certain things remember.

Different handlebars are available and most probably necessary for driving more than 30 minutes at a time. Don't laugh, I saw a gsx 1100 decked out with different handlebars (all but sat on the bike) a windscreen, and luggage racks.

The mfr's are starting to realize there is a large audience out there for performance machines in the guise of "cruisers."

Which reminds me, there is a local store with a '92 gsx (no r, no fiberglass) for 2200. But I know sooner or later I'd kill myself on it.

Two hours would be an eon to me. I'm lucky if I can get 30-40 good minutes in the saddle of the M50.

I remember riding my uncles ZX-11, man I could sit in that thing for hours. It wasn't so far swept forward to put a ton of strain on your back but still had a sporty feel in the handlebars. And they made a kit that would let you raise the handlebars and REALLY give it a touring bike feel. Course the bike itself was a pig but still.

The bike was pig? It is a modern sportbike, with a bit too much power for anybody to actually use.
