| I would like to put a wider tire on the my 2005 Katana 750. it comes with the stock 150/70. How wide can I go on this bike? I feel the rear tire needs some extra meat on it. |

| It's more of question of how wide can you go on that wheel. Too wide and you deform the carcass enough that handling and safety suffer. As it is, even a 160 will slow your handling. I wouldn't go any wider than that (160/60). Welcome!

Conversely, many riders go one size down for better handling for the obvious reason especially on the track. | |

| Your 03 GSXR600 came stock with a 180/55-17. Your bike is going to handle SO much better in the turns w/ the stock size as it has a much rounder profile.
