| Seat Tester | quick question for the gsxr nuts here, I have a 03 600 with like 3500 miles on it, and I noticed that the head light kinda has a mind of its own on low beam, some times only one of the bulb is lit (left I believe) and other times its both, is this normal? and if so.. how does it choose when to run both, a daylight sensor other wise know as a lrd (light recieving diode) or is derived off the clock? and input would be great.... its just one of those things that I dont know how or why it works the way it does, and that buggs me.. later joe

| I had a '01 gsxr 600 and on that model, only one of the headlights came on when using the low beam. Both lights came on only if the high beam was turned on. I was told by a dealer that the later 2002 models used the two bulbs all the time, even with the low beam. I'm guessing the same is supposed to hold true for the 2003 models. Maybe it's possible that you have a short somewhere in your wiring that is causing one of your lights to randomly turn on and off. I would take it to a dealer and have them inspect it for you. Is it under warranty?

| I just talked with my son, he has a 600 k3 (2003 gsxr 600). He said that both lights are on all the time on both high and low beam. It may be a loose connection to the light bulb, the light bulb itself may be bad, or something else. If your bike is still under waranty, take it in and let your mechanic know what is going on. Hope this helps.
