Default I think I've decided..

Hello All,
I've yet to get a bike, but I think I've decided on the bike I would like. I originally wanted a Suzuki SV650, but I realized that it might be a little too much bike for me, not to mention that my feet barely touch when I'm standing on it. I think told my self that I wanted a cruiser, and was set at looking into an M50 or Vulcan 900, but then I read about the Ninja 250. Being that the purpose of the bike will be to add a little more fun to the 5 mile drives to/from work, I think a big cruiser would be a little overkill. I was especially happy to see that the seat height is less than 30" and you can't beat the $3k sticker. I've looked at buying used, but it looks like people want $2500 for a 2 year old bikes. I think I'd rather spend the extra $ to know that the bike doesn't have any problems. Plus, I love that new bike smell.

So, have any of you ridden the 250 ninja? Any comments? I've read that it's a great bike for beginners, and when I become more comfortable and confident in my abilities I can really have some fun with it in the upper rpms.
