I just purchase a motorcycle two weeks ago. 1992 gsxr 750cc. When I took it to the shop for a air horn the mechanic told me i had a 93 gsxr 750, interesting because the title said 92. I started thinking what's going on and maybe the last owner made a lot of changes to the bike. He told me it had 93-95 plastics and parts. I then needed to buy a battery for my bike and when I went to the store he gave me the correct battery for my model bike but it did not fit. My motorcycle dealer told me something is not right and that the battery should of fit. I than tried to match the vin number from the bike to my registration info and i can't find the vin number on the bike. Questions Where are the vin numbers located? What if my bike is stolen? Would it ever pass a inspection without a vin number on the motorcycle? Or do inspection places check for vin numbers on the bike? Thanks all! Interesting, i inspected the bike from the ground up for motorcycle defects but fail to match the vin to title. It was a oversight. But i need to know what I should do. I don't want to lost out on my money that i spent. HELP |
