No probs man! You're right in that there's much more to riding than just how fast you can go. A lot of us here in this forum also share this view. Give me anything with two wheels and a motor and I'm a happy camper. Here's to many years of two wheel enjoyment!

My first bike was an '03 SV650S. The first time I took her out, I found out that giving a motorcycle as much gas as you would give a car from a stop will rocket you into the ditch faster than you can $#!t yourself.

The SV had only about 72 HP, but more torque down low because it was a little V-twin. I didn't need to scream down the road over 100mph and look cool (still don't), I needed something slower, easier to ride and fun. The liquid cooling meant it didn't overheat at a stoplight or in heavy traffic, and the fuel injection let me start it right up in any temp and gave me good mileage.

Sportbikes are built with one purpose, and that is to go fast. "Standards" like the SV650 are built to be basic utilitarian motorcycles, and do make good beginner bikes. For three years I never had a single problem with my SV; it just started and ran, all the time.

So what made you get the Kawi ZZR-600 2006? and what have you learned while riding it vs your previous bike?
