| Ditch Magnet ![]() | how much do people typically spend on high quality leather jacket + pants? I ask because I am looking to, at some point, invest in a custom built leather jacket and pants set, with vents where I feel like they should be (I get hot easy, over 80deg and I dont breath right) and metal spine protector and shoulder and elbow guards. It will look pretty typical heavy leather badboy cruiser style but have sporty elements and be designed for the sportier position. I'm just trying to get a feel for what to expect from my bank account for this.

| Yeah, more than 1K, depending on options. Go to www.zcustom.com To price some suits out. There is also Zooni leathers that are really well made. - Nut

| Muscle Biker ![]() | I would reconsider the metal spine protector. I think that a hard plastic would be better - first because it is lighter, and second, in case of a crash, plastic will dissapate the impact by breaking/shattering, whereas metal will deform (possibly causing more injury during the crash). There is a company over here that produces racing leathers for lots of racers - maybe they can give you a quote (or at least provide you a catalog in English). Their website is only in German: http://www.schwabenleder.de
