Default Problems with my GT380

So i took the motorcycle safety course, and i am a big newbie to riding. i purchased a 1975 suzuki gt380, a gorgeous bike w 4000 miles on it, and its been in the shop for 5 months. the guys who are working on it are really dragging their feet. heres the story, i need advice...

rebuilt the carbs and the engine ran. clacking noises near the transmission and the clutch cable is frozen. i take it into the shop and the guy says i need an ignition points breaker. i find the only one in the world in england and i drop it off. a week later and he still doesnt know whats wrong. he says i need a new kickshaft. this is weeks between answers mind you, he comes in like 2 days a week.

im starting to get really mad. ive been riding a bicycle 10 miles each way for school and the texas heat is really starting to get to me. i found ANOTHER gt380 on ebay in houston for cheap. I think i will buy it and start riding it IMMEDIETLY and use the other one for parts.

im really frustrated. everytime a mtorcycle drives by i get pissed off.

advice?
