| Fourth gear and illegal ![]() | I installed my Hotbodies Racing undertail tonight. It went on easily enough. The hardest part was cutting the glovebox where the license plate mount was so it could come off. You also have to lose your cargo hooks, but oh well. I rigged the license plate for now. There's an extra threaded hole on the lower portion of the swingarm, and I used one of the supplied brackets to mount the license plate there, and ziptied the top piece until I can get some a strap metal piece to connect the two brackets together and bolt the top one in. I also used bolts instead of those plastic "pop-rivets" they send, as I feel more secure with my $200 plastic being bolted in. Two problems with this is, 1) the LED's aren't as bright as I was expecting, but oh well. The other is the plastic seat cover doesn't align very well with the tail section now. I don't know if I didn't get something lined up right when putting the tail section back on or what, but it sits real high in the back. You might be able to tell from the pics. Anyway, tell me what you think! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I like the colors, but overall, I don't like the new Gixxer's. They're starting to remind me of the R's and CBR's. Too pointy. The front looks like the bike has an afro. To skinny and tall of a headlight/windshield. I also don't like the fairings. They look thin and brittle. I also don't like the front turn signals in the mirrors. I like the rear turn signals though. I do like the shorty exhaust though. But overall I like the older body style of Gixxers. Okay, I'm done ranting, lol.

| the stock rear tire on the 03 is a Dunlop D207 Sportmax, 180-55 ZR17. I don't think the d207's are made anymore.
