|  600 mile (first) oil change on my new grx-r
Hi all: So - I got the first 600 miles on my gsx-r 1000. Called the dealer today to schedule the first service with oil change. I mentioned that I wanted synthetic oil. The service manager went of the deep end about it being too early for synthetic. I should wait at least until I have 1500 miles to go to synthetic, because the bike is not yet broken in enough... Is there something to it? What does the break in period have to do with using synthetic oil or not.... Am I missing something???   |
