Default Carb Question - In Garage NOW working on it HELP!!

On A 92 750 Katana with Mikuni carbs, on the bottom when you take the bowl off there is a black rubber plug that sits in the vertical tube next to the main jet . . . are these plugs suppose to be in each carb or only in certain ones? If only in certain ones then which ones?

Default plugs

Supposed to be one in each carb, pushes into the bottom of the pilot??? jet, I stand to be corrected on the exact position tho. Go to http://www.thegsresources.com/gs_carb_04.htm and look at picture number 043, actually look at all the pics, they're a great help....Mike
