Gotham first read rickster's sig that says it all.

Second I just got the Techclusion TFI for my M95 as well as a Thunder Air Kit and Cobra pipes. And all I have to say is I intend for them to boost the perfomance of my bike. Shoot my gas mileage may even go down. If ya don't like it tuff.

That's exactly what I was saying. Customers expect the manufacturer (Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, whatever) to make the bikes so that they work properly. The aftermarket people try to sell you stuff to make them go faster, or in the case of brakes, and suspension, handle better, so you can ride them faster. Aftermarket performance products are all about speed, plain & simple. No one is going to spend $300 for an electronic gismo just to make it run according to factory specks, that's what a tune-up is for.
If "GothamEMS has a need for speed, that's cool, but there's no need for name calling when I point it out to him.

Actually most zuki FI bikes run lean for emmision purposes so an after market FC will correct that issue performance aside. Mine will ping if I run cheap (Tom Thumb, Race Track etc) 93 octaine gas in it. So by setting the fuel mixture higher the bike will run cooler not ping as much and keep the pipes from blueing.

This is all I have to say, above post, the catalyst for all of my defensive posts and my “hotheadedness”, followed by a fellow board member’s misconception about the other.

If you didn't want a response from me, why did you ask for one?
Asking for help YES, asking for you’re above smarta$$ comment, certainly not.

Why don’t you read your initial response above, do you see anything helpful in your response? Well do you?

There is a huge stereotype associated with sport bikes, and Rick proves it, by jumping all over me initially, that he is the type of person who points fingers at others, before a member has a chance to post any constructive posts. Don’t get me wrong I can take criticism. And Rick you sound like my father, “breaking the law doesn’t matter to you” give me a break, this is all you have to come at me with, oh my God, you are definitely showing your age. Don’t even tell me that all of your toys don’t have any mods!

What does me being an EMT have to do with anything? I am a PARAMEDIC/FIREFIGHTER, in case you missed it the first time.
Let me paint a picture for your Rick…Have you ever peeled, literally peeled a human being off an inanimate object, i.e., a tree, the back of an SUV, the pavement, etc? Have you ever see what the human brain looks like breeching the skull, spilling over the street? Have you ever had to PRONOUNCE ANOTHER HUMAN BEING DEAD on the scene of a motorcycle accident? I HAVE!!!!Let me tell you, it took me 2 years to buy this bike, knowing exactly what I was getting into, with almost 12 years of riding experience under my belt before I bought it 2 yrs ago. Seeing almost every conceivable way a human being can die, sheds a bright light on ones own humanity. But…you probably don’t know anything about that. So the next time someone posts a legitimate question that you find stupid, and you decide to “answer the post”, remember the guy on the other end could be a Dr., Lawyer, police officer, etc, who owns a sport bike.
So don’t you DARE preach to me about anything, ANYTHING!!!!!!!!! I am an adult whom you know nothing about! Yeh I get hot headed because of guys like you, and your comment, and stereotypes. Maybe it’s time to leave this forum due to the lack of respect, and that is what it boils down to, LACK OF RESPECT!

I had a similar problem with my DL1000, but I didn't have to add anything to fix it, just took it back to the dealer, and had it re-mapped.
I know a lot of people have gone the aftermarket route, and like you have had excellent results, but let's be honest, trying to get more HP is always a part of the equation.

Thus the aftermarket pipes and air kit.

You have a very thin skin if you consider that "jumping all over you".
I don't think I have any misconceptions about you, and it sounds like your father and I agree, and he probably knows you pretty well.
As to weather or not my comment will have any positive results, well only time will tell. Let me know if, and when you get to be a wise old sage.
Respect is something that is earned.
Oh, and buy the way, thanks for toning down the name calling, it never helps.

Just wait the mods haven't got wind of it yet. When they do it might get closed but then again maybe not there are only two people arguing and no bad nono words.

The father comment was meant purely figurative, not literal

its not ALL about power. most pipes dont give very much power, those are more about sound. and sometimes smoothness, i would much prefer to mod out a bike to have 10% better smoothness at the expense of 10% power than go the other way. Sometimes its safety, better brakes or such CAN be for safety, yes it can mean they go faster, but thats not ALL... sometimes its for comfort, this is usually seat mods, but suspension mods too sometimes. Then again my bike has the PC and K&N and a Yosh can.... though I didnt put them on there, they were just there

Power Commander is installed, and with the accelerator pump software option installed as well, the bike is running better than expected. Thanxs 4 the support!

I don't mean to interrupt your little flame war, but to go back to a comment on the previous page:

A PCIII and other mods are not totally illegal. It is illegal to remove a catalitic converter or make other changes to the emissons system which bypass the clean-air regulations. As long as the after-market products have DOT approval there is nothing illegal about "tweeking" the fuel-air mixture (PCIII, after-market air filter, etc) or installing after-market pipes.

Now back to your friendly neighborhood flame-throwing contest.

You need to chill out man, if you worked with the guys I worked with you would be having a nervous breakdown ! We all need to be able to take some good natured ribbing occasionally without getting all uptight about it

You are completely missing the point of my “retaliation” . It’s not about having thick skin, or not, it’s about the lack of respect on this board for others. If you read any of my questions posted, you will see they are all honest and pertinent ones, without coming off like some of the adjectives I’ve been described as . My responses on the other hand, just a natural response to someone who backs you in a corner, unprovoked, and from what I’ve been reading, I’m not the only one who feels this way. I just felt compelled to post one more response. What I will not be doing is defending myself or my motorcycle here anymore.
Like I stated before, thank you for your support ....

You can add anything external you want to a bike but you will not get any more HP than the engine was designed for. You will get more useful torque when you want it after adding a PC3 but thats it there is no more. This post brought to you by a tech at MMI Orlando.
