Default Anybody Ride The Kawasaki Z1000?

I want to get a sport bike as a second bike after I pay off my M50. I don't like the full fairing bikes cause I don't like to lay down on the bike like that. I have sat on all the naked bikes and I really like the SV650 and the Kawasaki Z1000. The kawasaki fits me a little better and has an inline four motor, but the sv650 is quite a bit cheaper. I like how they don't have any fairings at all too. Any opinions?

For starters, don't assume a fully-faired bike is "laid down". There are many faired standards that have ergos very similar to a Z1000, like the VFR, Katanas, and any other bike that has tubular handlebars or aftermarket risers. I've never ridden a Z1000, but they're on my short list. I kept pace with one on the highway lasts year and was watching the bike more than the road, I think.

It's not just the comfort, I like the naked look better too.

Have you looked at the new Z750 to? It may be more in your price range and very similar to the Z1000. Not to mention, it's not a liter bike, so insurance will prbably be cheaper is that's also a concern. I am hearing great things about both the Z1000 and 750.
