Default Painting a fairing

Can the stock upper fairing on a Gixxer be painted? Mine is scratched up pretty good, but unlike the lower fairings, it's not graphics, so I thought I could paint or touch it up. Or is buying a new one a better idea? I can get pics if anybody needs them. Thanks all - Chris

Chris, you probably won't be happy with a rattle-can paint job. You'll likely have to fill and sand the scratches. Do a little reading on autobody painting and decide whether you want to make the effort. Otherwise, take it to a shop.

Oh I'm not gonna spray paint it, lol. But a brand new fairing already painted and everything is only $250 shipped on eBay. I figure if it cost around $200 to fix it, I'll just replace it.
