Well I ended up not trailering the Gixxer home. My dad kinda talked me out of it. It would have been too much of a hassle to load it onto the trailer just to take it 25 minutes home, lol. So I rode it around some back roads where the guy lived, then rode it to work. When I got off work, my dad and I went riding for about 2 hours straight. I didn't have a single problem, other than trying to keep it slow. I'm so not used to having that much power, that I would look down, and I'd be doing 80! I haven't even tried to open it up any, I'm too scared to. I gave it like 1/3 throttle, and shifting at 8k tops when I got on it a few times. It's scary fast! PLENTY fast enough to get me in trouble! I'll probably ride it tomorrow since it will be a beautiful day out. After that it's gonna be COLD and RAINING for an entire week!
Anyway, after starting out on a GZ250, then going to a GSX-R600, I would NOT recommend a Gixxer to ANYBODY as a beginner bike. They're just to freaking powerful! lol.
