| Fourth gear and illegal ![]() | Okay I know this has probably been covered 324592345x before, but I searched and couldn't find any info on these brands. Freestyle Ingenuity: http://www.bikebandit.com/partsbandi...ion_Path~3.asp Vortex: http://www.bikebandit.com/partsbandi...ion_Path~3.asp http://www.bikebandit.com/partsbandi...ion_Path~3.asp They'll both end up being about the same price. I've read not to try and save money on off-brands, so I was wondering if these were good? Thanks for any suggestions!

| I know a few people back home that had the vortex. The biggest complaint was that they were just a bit too short. So if the bike did go down they didn't protect as much as they thought it would. But some help is still better than nothing.

| I guess I should mention what I use. I went with the Solid Look polished fram sliders with end caps from Solid Look designed by Bad BOY Racing Products. They don't seem to be all that popular, and (KNOCK ON WOOD) I have not been able to test them out. If you want pics feel free to send me an IM with you email or I can put one up here later on. I think I got them from www.58cycle.com for about $65 |

| Fourth gear and illegal ![]() | Yea I wouldn't mind seeing them! You can email them to me (CManT1914@hotmail.com), or post them here, whatever's clever. I actually ended up going by the Suzuki stealership here and buying some Suzuki brand sliders. They were $80, which is about the same as all the online prices I found (but I don't have to pay shipping). So I decided just to get them (and a tank protector too

| I had to size the pic down pretty good. I hope it comes out ok. I took this a couple of weeks ago after a nice ride and a wash. Not a real close up of the sliders but they are a simple pollished alluminum with pollished end caps on them.

| Born and raised in Ames, Iowa (GO Cyclones!). Moved to Nacogdoches (about 2hours north of Houston) in October to be closer to family and wamer weather! Still getting used to being able to ride in January and Feb. I do beleive that I have a cousin that was born in Killeen though. |
