Default Smart Gixxer

What happens when you cross a Smart with a Gixxer 1000 K5?

(What's a Smart? Look here: www.smart.com )

That smart website blows. I wondered it forever and still don't know the technical aspects of their cars.

The video file didn't tell me a damn thing, either.

Wow. They really put a Gixxer engine in there????

A saw a weird German (I think) movie the other day. A bunch of autoracers were being blamed for high end car robbery. The autoracers bunch had a Smart that could do 250 km/h! Yeah right!

The Smart is 3 cylinder inline engine of 799cc putting out 40 HP. It's top speed is 135km/h (at least for the "fortwo" model in Canada). In Canada, only the fortwo model is available at this stage. I've seen a few in my city and wouldn't mind having as my second car for a commuter. SV650S in the Summer, Smart in the Winter.

Canada fortwo specs

LooWEE ... just go to the SMART website and select "Europe: France"

There you'll get all of the technical specs for all models (available in Europe).

I agree, the North American sites are not very informative...

And BTW, Smart has become a favorite among tuners over here.

There are more after-market parts for Smart than for almost any other model.

And yes, there are tuned Smarts which can exceed 250kmh ...
